IS IT reasonable to have to reboot the unit or have to run commands just because you hit apply, and services just dont restart properly or whatever the issue is? Stopservice nas wlconf eth0 down wlconf eth1 down wlconf eth2 down startservice nas wlconf eth0 up wlconf eth1 up wlconf eth2 up What happens is all connected wifi clients get disconnected and will not reconnect, in fact it pretty much causes the bridges VAP issue Services need to restart you have to understand the weight of clicking "Apply" and be patient.īut they dont restart, not properly, right! It would only display policy 1 and the parameters related to that policy. I could post a snapshot of the screen but it would be of no value. I was not able to configure 2-20 as before. The only changes that I attempted after defaulting it was to attempt to configure the Access Restrictions for policies 2-20. I decided to default the router and see if it behaves the same way. They displayed in the pulldown box but when I clicked on the policy the page would not display the parameters for those policies. That's when I discovered that it wouldn't switch to the policy 2 or 3 (I use policy 1 through 3). (I always perform this check before placing the router into production). Right after upgrading to r47225 I checked all tabs/pages to verify that the configuration was the same as it was in the previous release. There is no way to make changes on policies 2-20 unless CLI commands are used. However, in the case of r47225, it refreshes the screen with Policy 1 instead of the that I selected (policy 2-20). When working, as in previous releases, is supposed to display that policy selected on the page so that one can make changes and then save & apply them.In the "Policy" box, click on down arrow, and then click on the policy that you want to modify.

I also tried build r47256 with a Netgear R8500. I upgraded, via web GUI, the Netgear R7000 from build r47225 to r47256 using netgear- r7000-webflash.bin. The issue is also present in build r47256 for a Netgear R7000. I verified that the same issue with r47225 is present on a Netgear R8500 that was web upgraded from r47182 to r47225 using netgear- r8500-webflash.bin. Let me know if you need additional log files uploaded. I did not connect the test unit to LAN because it failed my initial testing (no point in disrupting production environment). I've uploaded basic log files (identifying info altered) but I don't think that they apply.
#R8500 DD WRT UPGRADE#
Same result from web upgrade and after defaulting via CLI and configuring from scratch. When selecting policies 2-20 in the pull down box it reverts back to policy 1. Access Restrictions > WAN Access Policy box.
